Notes serve as a platform for discussions and sharing information with others
Once a discussion naturally concludes, you can close the conversation by archiving the note. You can then feel satisfied that you've had the specific conversation you needed to and move on!
To archive a note, open the note you wish to archive, and either:
- Click on the 'Active' indicator in the top left, then select 'Archive'
- Or click on the 3 dot menu and select 'Archive'
If discussions lead to actionable items, you can easily create a new task from relevant comments by selecting the down arrow on the comment, then selecting 'Make new task...'
This prevents tasks from being overlooked within conversations and ensures they are completed
To revisit archived notes, you can access them either through the 'My Notes' smart view, where they will be listed under 'Archived', or via the threads tab of a related connection or workspace item
Notes can also be unarchived. Should you require this, open the note and either:
- Click on the 'Archived' indicator in the top left, then select 'Unarchive'
- Or click on the 3 dot menu and select 'Unarchive'
By closing notes/discussions, you avoid endless conversations under broad topics, fostering more productive dialogues. Additionally, you safeguard valuable ideas and actions from being lost, unlike with email or other online communication tools.
