Next - 05 Adding Files to Wórkiro

This article explains how to access, create, link, and manage connections in Wórkiro, including people and organisations.

Accessing Connections

To open the Connections area, click the connections icon in the left-hand navigation bar. From here you can view recently accessed and suggested connections, search for specific connections, and filter by connection type or view all connections.

Adding a New Connection

To add a new connection, click the plus button in the top-right corner of the Connections screen. You can choose to add either an organisation or an individual.

Note: in many setups, connections are synchronised automatically from your CRM or back-office system. Only add a connection manually if it does not already exist.

Adding an Organisation

  1. Click the plus button and select the option to add an organisation.
  2. Enter the company name.
  3. Select the relevant relationship if your setup uses them.
  4. Click Add.

Adding an Individual

  1. Click the plus button and select the option to add an individual.
  2. Enter the person's first and last name.
  3. Select the relevant relationship if your setup uses them.
  4. Enter a client code or identifier if required by your organisation.
  5. Click Add.

Note: an email address is not mandatory, but is required if you want to collaborate with this person in Wórkiro Threads.

Linking an Individual to an Organisation

Linking an individual to an organisation allows information to be filed and retrieved across both records.

  1. Open the individual's connection.
  2. Click the profile icon at the top of the screen and select Edit.
  3. In the edit screen, click to add an organisation link and select the relevant organisation.
  4. Save the changes.

Once linked, you can click the company name shown beneath an individual's name to go directly to the organisation record. The organisation record will show a People tab listing all linked individuals.

Viewing Connection Details

Each individual connection includes the following tabs:

  • Overview: active items related to that person and recently accessed documents.
  • Threads: conversation threads with that connection.
  • Documents: files added to that connection by you or your team.

Favouriting Connections

Click the star icon on any connection to mark it as a favourite for quick access.

Hiding Connections

To hide a connection that is no longer relevant, open the connection, click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, and select Hide. Hidden connections will no longer appear in your day-to-day view.
