ChatGPT is an AI assistant built by OpenAI that helps small businesses automate work and get more done.

You can connect Wórkiro to ChatGPT's Assistant using the Wórkiro MCP Server to enable a range of tools that interact with your Wórkiro account.

Contact help@workiro.com to enable the MCP Server for your account

Required: ChatGPT Team or Business account.

⚠️ Whilst it is possible to connect a Free, Pro or Plus account, ChatGPT does not have a DPA (Data processing addendum) in place. As such these are considered consumer accounts, and not suitable for professional services businesses.

To configure the MCP server for use in chatGPT choose 'Plugins' from the Customize menu in your chatGPT account.

Depending on your environment you may need to choose to create an MCP App (Desktop) or a custom MCP server (Web)
.

In the screen that follows choose to add the Wórkiro for ChatGPT Icon
You can download the icon attached to this help article

Then add the following details

Name: Wórkiro
Description: Organise client work with Wórkiro
Connection: https://mcp.workiro.com/mcp
Select: 'Advanced OAuth settings' and ensure Registration method is set to 'User-Defined OAuth Client'
Set: OAuth client ID to  https://mcp.workiro.com/mcp
Check: I understand and want to continue

Now you can 'Create as a plugin' and you will be asked to continue to Connect Wórkiro.

From here you will be asked to Authenticate the Wórkiro account you wish to connect.

For more information on the range of Wórkiro tools and skills available see the MCP Server Guide.

By default only the Read-only tools are exposed.

Write Access

Team Owners and Admins can further configure tool access for the team once the MCP Server is connected. To enable write access tools for your team ask ChatGPT to 'Get my Wórkiro Policy' or 'Configure Wórkiro Tool Access'. ChatGPT will return Tool access in the response.

From here you can 'Allow all tools' or set individual tool permissions, before saving changes.

If you find you can't access your Wórkiro policy you may need to update the plugin permission in ChatGPT from 'Allow low-risk tools' to 'Allow read-only tools' first.

Once complete you may need to refresh ChatGPT before the changes take place.

With everything up and running you can @mention Wórkiro when you are chatting to prompt a response grounded in your Wórkiro data.

We are improving the tools in our MCP server all the time and would love to hear how you're using it.
