Storing documents and files

Workiro is a powerful way to manage the classification and lifecycle of your documents. Files, documents, images and zip folders can be uploaded to Workiro at different times depending on how and where you're working. Individual files are supported to a maximum size of 200 MB.

In this guide:

1. Relating documents to threads

Uploading documents related to a task, note or signature thread allows you to share them directly with all thread participants. Learn how

The power of Workiro ensures that these documents are not only related to the thread, but they also become automatically 'related to' any project, or connection that the thread has been classified against.

2. Relating documents to connections

For storage of documents for reference, or use at a later time, upload a document from the record of the person, or organization you are working with. You can simply drag and drop a file onto the record or use the + button.

Having uploaded documents, you can create threads directly from them as required. This way your document (and thread) are now automatically 'related to' the connection.

3. Relating documents to projects

In the same way you can also upload documents directly to a project. This forms a relationship between the document and project, making it accessible to other team members working on that project. Again a thread can be created with the document related to it.

Document access

Whilst uploading documents against a connection record (person or organization) the uploader can choose whether they are accessible to the team or not using the 'Team access' setting. Learn about team access to threads and documents.

To share access to a document externally, you can simply create a new thread (task, signature request or note) from the document. Remember, your external connections don't need a Workiro account to access them.
