Next - 16 Wórkiro Task Templates
This article explains how to create and configure a signature template in Wórkiro so you can quickly generate consistent, pre-configured signature threads for repeatable work.
Creating a Signature Template
- Click the settings cog to open Wórkiro settings.
- Select Thread Templates from the settings menu.
- Click Add in the top-right corner.
- Select Signature as the template type.
- Enter a title. This will become the default title for all threads created from this template.
- Add guidance text so users know what to do when the thread is created.
- Add participants if the same people should always be included. Leave empty if this varies.
- Attach the standard documents that will be used for signing.
Configuring Documents for Signing
Each attached document must be configured with a signing option. First, add a placeholder signer role. This will be replaced with the actual signer when the template is used.
For each document, choose one of the following signing options:
- Quick eSign: the recipient confirms they have read and agreed to the document. Use this for standard terms or acknowledgement documents.
- Advanced signature: supports signature, printed name, and date fields. Use this for letters of engagement or documents requiring a full signature.
For Advanced signature documents, position all required fields on the document and assign them to the placeholder signer role. Taking time to accurately position these fields now means no adjustment will be needed when the template is used.
If a document is specific to each customer and will be different every time, tick This document is a placeholder. This requires users to replace the document with the correct customer-specific version when creating a thread from the template.
Finalising the Template
Once all documents are configured:
- Optionally associate tags with the template. Any thread created from it will automatically inherit these tags.
- Set the default team access for threads created from this template.
- Click Create to save the template.
- Give the template a clear, descriptive name and choose whether it is shared with all users or kept private.
Using a Template on a Connection
- Open the relevant connection and create a new Signature Thread.
- Click the template option in the top-left corner and select the appropriate template.
- Assign real participants to replace any placeholder signer roles.
- For any placeholder documents, locate the correct customer-specific file and attach it in place of the placeholder.
- Make any final adjustments such as adding a due date, additional participants, or comments.
- Click Create to generate the signature thread.
